PLATINUM PRESENTS: Latest bulletin on the UK' s hottest jewellery designers - Stephen Webster
London-based designer and 'enfant terrible' Stephen Webster's 30-year career has gone from strength to strength. Internationally recognised for his love of traditional craftsmanship, his distinct approach creates avant-garde, opulent pieces that redefine fine jewellery perceptions.
Beloved by rock and pop stars, Stephen's work is inspired by diverse and unexpected sources, such as tattoos. It is this eye which has led him to create some of the world's most original and contemporary pieces.
His signature style is expressed through the best of everything, often combining exotic gems with pure platinum. His legendary bespoke designs have made him the ultimate choice for celebrities wishing to say 'I do'. More and more famous couples are choosing platinum when tying the knot, and many approach Stephen to craft their unique creations.
Most recently, Ashley Cole selected a platinum wedding band to complement his bride Cheryl Tweedy's platinum engagement ring. Madonna, Christina Aguilera and Pink also chose Stephen's bold designs for their platinum wedding bands.
Despite his celebrity status, Stephen's feet are still firmly on the ground "I am extremely lucky to have worked with some amazing people throughout my career, designing and creating jewellery I am really proud of. Platinum is special. I always point out the differences between metals but if white metal is required, I will usually recommend platinum because of it's strong, precious and pure qualities. For people who want their rings made from the best there is nothing like it'.
